The New Zealand Government is implementing a policy where key sections of the digital support service adopt SaaS (Software as a Service) to enhance practices.
It is labeled TaaS (Telecommunications as a Service).
Enhanced authentication and identity solutions (Identity and Access management) is one of those digital services.
Service providers are invited by way of a RSP to become part of this policy implementation.
Education is NOT currently one of the departments linked to this policy.
Crystal is adopting the TaaS guidelines and practices whenever relevant and practical so that it will be compatible in the future.
Crystal has not applied directly to be a member of the TaaS
as its clientele are in Education but it has subscribed in a watching brief.
It is not Crystal expectation to make significant changes but rather ensure that any new development meet with the policy expectations.
